Hi, well it’s been a long time since I posted anything.  Almost 2 months.  I was just really busy with work thanks to the Mississippi River and then just needed to catch up around the house.  We also laid some sod down so we now have a backyard! Woot, woot! So come on over for a visit!

Anyways, I saw a Tag you’re it and the CAS(e) this Sketch challenge this week and thought I’d give it a go.

I have these white tag cards I got years ago from i craft. Copyright date is 2010 and there’s 8 to a pack and I still have 7 unused, so I guess this is the first card I’ve made with them. The butterfly die is the new one from papertrey ink Life is Beautiful. I used the Make a Wish stamp from Studio Calico’s Hello stamp set in the latest monthly card kit on Simon Says Stamp Greetings with Sketchy die.

The inks were all distress inks. I used Tim Holtz spritzer on the stencil using the Peeled Paint, Broken China and Wild Honey Distress Markers. I then used the Wild Honey on the Sketchy Die with the spritzer.  I used the Distress stains of Peeled paint and Broken China on the butterfly and then edged the butterfly with a wink of Stella and also put it in the holes on the background butterfly. I inked the edges of the card with Mustard Seed and Scattered Straw. Lastly I put some dots out of my stash and tied a scrap ribbon in the hole.

This sentiment I found on the Inisde & Out Birthday II stamp set from Papertrey Ink which I thought matched nicely with the sentiment on the outside.

This is the sketch I was supposed to follow. Thanks for looking! It won’t be so long next time.
